Dear Friends,
I will miss truly miss all the wonderful colleagues and friends I have made over the years at The DMN.
You have made this job worth hanging onto for 23 years, despite the ups and downs in working conditions. I feel truly blessed to have been able to work part-time for many of those years so I could also keep my family a priority.
I'm sorry that management hasn't fully embraced the benefits of a part-time employees, who want to be productive journalists and good parents at the same time.
I have no immediate plans other than to be home when the kids bolt through the door after school. But if anyone knows of good freelance opportunities, send them my way.
